NEFET is an institution dedicated to educating professionals of human movement on the foundation of exercise science. It brings together teaching, applied research, and field practice around a single purpose: to raise the scientific, technical, and ethical standard of those who work with exercise physiology, physical preparation, and sports training.
Its work is international, with a presence across three continents and direct collaboration with clubs and performance centers in Brazil and abroad. What guides this work is not scale, but criterion: to educate professionals capable of understanding the human body in depth and of translating that knowledge into responsible decisions.
PURPOSE

NEFET’s mission is to develop scientific reasoning applied to training and health. We believe that good practice is born from an understanding of physiological mechanisms, from the critical reading of evidence, and from careful judgment in each context — from high-performance sport to the promotion of health.
More than transmitting content, NEFET seeks to build intellectual autonomy: the ability to assess, decide, and adjust on a sound foundation. It is a commitment to depth, not to shortcuts.

At NEFET, knowledge is not produced only to be taught, but to be applied. The principles of exercise physiology and training are continually brought into different real-world contexts, from high-performance sport to recreational practice.
This integration of science and practice is present in the work carried out with athletes and teams at Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, in the physical preparation of high-performance tennis players, and in the assessment and follow-up of practitioners across different disciplines and levels of performance.
It is in this environment that theory meets the challenges of reality — where assessing, prescribing, monitoring, and making decisions cease to be academic concepts and begin to produce concrete answers to concrete problems.
For NEFET, this is what applied science means: turning knowledge into decision, and decision into professional practice of excellence.
PRINCIPAL
Prof. Dr. Luis Polito
PhD in Physical Education. Founder and academic director of NEFET. Health and Performance Coordinator at Sport Club Corinthians Paulista.
A researcher, author, and scientific reviewer, Luis Felipe Tubagi Polito built his career at the intersection of high-level science and field practice. Part of his international education took place at Stockholm University, in an academic environment devoted to the psychophysiology of effort, under the influence of figures such as Gunnar Borg and Elisabet Borg.
His work combines scientific production, teaching, and direct involvement in high-performance sport — one of the most demanding contexts for the application of exercise physiology. Leading NEFET, he is dedicated to educating professionals able to unite theoretical understanding and practical decision-making with the same level of rigor.

Over the course of its history, NEFET has built a community of professionals working across different disciplines, institutions, and contexts of practice — from high-performance sport to gyms, training centers, health services, and environments devoted to exercise and human performance.
This presence brings together professionals working in more than 40 institutions and organizations, spread across the five regions of Brazil and nine countries on three continents, with professional experience in approximately 20 sports.
Among these settings are professional clubs, national sports organizations, high-performance teams, major gym chains, specialized training centers, and health institutions.
More than geographical breadth, this diversity reveals the capacity of a single scientific foundation to be understood, adapted, and applied across different disciplines, populations, and levels of professional demand.

NEFET organizes its educational offering into complementary pathways, from technical deepening to advanced continuing education. Each pathway corresponds to a different moment in professional life, with the same commitment to rigor.

Specialization in Health and Performance Applied to Physical Training
A lato sensu postgraduate program, recognized by Brazil’s Ministry of Education (MEC). It focuses on the practical application of physiology and physical preparation through a structured method of assessment, prescription, and adjustment of training. Intended for professionals seeking to consolidate clinical reasoning and well-grounded decision-making.

Specialist Education in Performance
An expanded pathway that integrates two lato sensu postgraduate programs recognized by the MEC — in Physical Preparation and in Exercise and Sport Physiology. It brings together the body of knowledge needed for a complete understanding of human performance, from bioenergetics to load control, with access to an extensive study library.

PROGRAM
NEFET Concept: Advanced Continuing Education
An environment for advanced professional development, designed for those who already have a solid foundation and seek to deepen their reasoning, discuss real cases, and reflect on practice. It is organized around live sessions, guided study, and collaborative discussion, with an emphasis on the maturity of professional decision-making. Admission is by profile review, to preserve the level of the discussions.
